INTRODUCTION

Privacy Policy”) explains how Lend a Hand (“
Lend a Hand,” “
we,” “
us,” “
our”) collects, uses, and discloses Personal Data (as defined below) of Users of our mobile application (the “
Lend a Hand App”) and our website (the “
Lend a Hand Website”). Collectively, the Lend a Hand App and the Lend a Hand Website are referred to herein as the “
Lend a Hand Platform.” Words and phrases which are capitalized but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms of Service
At Lend a Hand we are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone in our community and who makes use of our services. By visiting and/or using the Lend a Hand App, you consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and transfer of your Personal Data as set out in this Privacy Policy. In some cases, we may ask you to provide explicit consent if we intend to process your Personal Data otherwise than as indicated in this Privacy Policy, however sometimes your consent may be implied through your conduct with us.
If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy you should not utilize the Lend a Hand Platform. Navigate away from the Lend a Hand Platform immediately and uninstall our application.
PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION
Personal Data (or “
your Data”) means any information or set of information from which we are able, directly or indirectly, to personally identify you, in particular by reference to an identifier e.g. name, email address, phone number, address, location, etc. Personal Data does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). Whenever you interact with the Lend a Hand App we collect and process your Personal Data, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Contact Information. This may include your first and last name, location, telephone number, and email address.
- Account Data. This may include your first and last name, location, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Profile Data. This may include your first name, last name, phone number, rate / price range, an “about me” section, location, language, skillset, employment history, gender, and qualifications / certifications.
- User Content. This may include photos, videos, PDF files, and other types of content such as chats with other Users.
- Survey, Market, and Research Data. We may run (i) surveys, focus groups, or market studies for research purposes and (ii) promotions, events, or contests for marketing purposes. When you choose to participate, you give us information to process your entry and participation, as well as your responses to our questions and your feedback, including all data and information provided therein.
- Support Data. If you contact us, you may provide us with Personal Data that may be necessary to address your inquiry. Other Users may also submit queries or reports involving you. We may collect additional data as part of any investigation we may conduct.
When you interact with the Lend a Hand Website’s “Suggestion” feature, we collect and process your Personal Data, including, but not limited to the following:
- Contact Information. This may include your first and last name and email address.
INFORMATION LEND A HAND COLLECTS AUTOMATICALLY
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Lend a Hand Platform.
- Usage Data. Using the Lend a Hand Platform generates data about your activity, including how you use it (e.g., when you logged in, features you have been using, actions taken, information shown to you) and how you interact with others (e.g., searching, connecting, communicating).
- Device and Technical Data. Using the service involves the collection of data from and about the device(s) you use to access our service, including hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, app settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs and identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify a device or browser. This may also include data about the type of device or browser you use, your device’s operating system, your internet service provider, and your device’s regional and language settings. We may use device information to monitor the geographic regions from which Users navigate the Lend a Hand Platform, and for security and fraud prevention purposes. We also collect imprecise location data such as location derived from an IP address or data that indicates a city or postal code level.
INFORMATION COLLECTED BY LEND A HAND WITH CONSENT
If you give us permission, we can collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude) from your device. If you decline permission, features that rely on precise geolocation may not be available to you.
LEND A HAND’S USE OF INFORMATION
Lend a Hand collects information to enable you to use the Lend a Hand Platform and Lend a Hand Services, including, but not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining your account and profile on our service;
- Operating and maintaining the various features on our service;
- Recommending other Users to you and recommending you to them;
- Connecting you with other Users to enable the posting of and selection of services

Responding to your requests and questions. This may include:
- Reviewing interactions with product support teams to improve service quality

For fraud prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interests in ensuring a safe and secure environment in which Users can meet and conduct business, and in order to comply with our legal obligations;
- For internal market research for our legitimate interest in improving the Lend a Hand Platform to grow our business. This may include:
- Performing and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns run on our service;
- Performing and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns promoting our own service on third-party platforms;
- Communicating with you about products and services we believe may interest you;
- Running focus groups, market studies and survey;
- Analyzing how our service is used;
- For troubleshooting problems for our legitimate interests in ensuring a safe and secure environment in which Users can connect;

To enforce our Terms of Service and our legitimate interests in ensuring our agreement is complied with. This may include:
- Preventing, detecting, and fighting against violations of our Terms of Service, fraud, and other illegal or unauthorized activities;
- Developing and improving tools to prevent, detect, and fight against violations of our Terms, fraud and other illegal or unauthorized activities;
- Preventing recurrences, notably by preventing individuals who violate our Terms from creating a new account;
- Letting individuals who submit a report know what we have done about it;
- Verifying your identity;

To comply with applicable law, establish, exercise, and defend legal claims and rights, including:
- Preserving data to comply – and evidence compliance – with applicable law;
- Supporting investigations and defending potential or ongoing litigation, regulatory action, or disputes;
- Responding to lawful requests from law enforcement, courts, regulators, and other third parties;
- Reporting illegal or infringing content to law enforcement, government, or other authorities;
- Establishing, exercising, or defending ongoing or threatened claims;
- Sharing data with law enforcement or partners to combat abusive or illegal behavior;
- As otherwise set forth in the agreement and/or as otherwise required by law.
HOW WE SHARE DATA
- Other Users. You share data with other Users when you voluntarily disclose information on the Lend a Hand Platform for others to see (e.g., your Lend a Hand Account Profile). If someone submits a report involving you (such as a claim you violated our Terms of Service), we may let the reporter know what actions we took, if any, as a result of their report. The same applies if you submit a report involving another User.
- Vendors / Partners. We share data with vendors and partners who help us operate, promote, and improve our service. They provide us services such as data hosting and maintenance, analytics, customer care, marketing, advertising, payment processing, legal support, and security operations.
- Advertising Partners. We may publish ads promoting our own service on third-party sites and apps. We may provide certain info about you to third-parties, including advertising partners, or allow them to collect such data from our services (such as via cookies, software development kits, or similar technologies). Some of our advertising partners enable us to transform your email address, advertising identifiers, or phone number into an identifier that cannot be used to identify you personally and then use that unique identifier to either exclude you from our marketing campaigns, or to target our ads at an audience that is similar to you in terms of background, interests, or app usage.
- Law Enforcement Authorities. We may disclose your data to: (i) comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government / law enforcement investigation, or other legal requirements; (ii) assist in the prevention or detection of crime; (iii) protect the safety of any person; and (iv) establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Merger or Acquisition. We may also share your personal data with interested parties in connection with, or during negotiations of, any proposed or actual merger, purchase, or sale of all or any portion of our assets.
YOUR RIGHTS
- Access and Information. You have the right to be informed of the personal data we process about you and/or ask for a copy of it.
- Rectification or Correction. You have the right to amend or update your personal data where its inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion or Erasure. You have the right to delete personal data.
- Objection or Restriction. You have the right to object to us processing personal data or to request that we temporarily or permanently stop processing personal data.
- Consent Withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw a consent you have given us to process your personal data for a specific purpose.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
We retain personal data for as long as you are a User in order to meet our contractual obligations to you, and for such longer periods as may be in our legitimate interests and to comply with our legal obligations.
SECURITY OF RETAINED INFORMATION
Your Lend a Hand account is password-protected so that only you and authorized Lend a Hand staff have access to your account information. In order to maintain this protection, do not give your password to anyone. Also, if you share a device, you should sign out of your Lend a Hand account before someone else uses the device. Transmission via the internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of the information about your account and/or the information about you.
PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES
Lend a Hand’s Privacy Policy is periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. This Privacy Policy might change as Lend a Hand updates and expands. When changes are made, the new Privacy Policy will become a part of the Lend a Hand App in the next Lend a Hand App update. Downloading and updating the Lend a Hand App will make the new Privacy Policy available to you, and you must agree to the new Privacy Policy before accessing the Lend a Hand App. Lend a Hand also encourages you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
In addition, the new Privacy Policy will be made available on the Lend a Hand Website. If you do not agree to any change(s), you shall exit the Lend a Hand Website. Otherwise, your continued use of the Lend a Hand Website constitutes your acceptance of such change(s). Please regularly check the Lend a Hand Website to view the most current Privacy Policy.
[NTD: I am not sure of how this will be worded. Updating the Privacy Policyon the App is different than the Website (I assume) so I did not put it as the “Lend a Hand Platform”. Skip’s terms are inclusive to the “Skip Platform” but their process for updating the Privcy Policy are different than Lend a Hand’s
